Translation is to express well, in a language you know very well, that which you have well understood in a language you know well.

Why hire a professional translator?

Qualified professional translators have completed years of training and certification.

Rigour and reliability are inherent to professional practice, as are a strict code of ethics and confidentiality rules.

Why hire an independent translator?

An independent translator is your dedicated, individual contact, who takes responsibility for his or her work; a person who knows you, and who you get to knowe. Lower costs, through lower overhead. Shorter turnaround times, by eliminating the middleman.

Why hire me as your translator?

I hold a Master’s degree in translation from the École Supérieure d’Interprètes et de Traducteurs (ESIT Université Paris-III, Sorbonne-Nouvelle), in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Foreign Languages (LEA), having completed my secondary studies through the science section of the French baccalaureate.

My in-depth knowledge and perfect understanding of English and Spanish has been gained through extended periods spent abroad, my extensive experience as a translator, and my daily exposure to these languages and fields of expertise.

As an experienced, recognised professional with a sense of propriety in my work, I understand my limitations and stand by my integrity. I express when a deadline is too tight to provide a quality translation, and I decline assignments that fall outside of my areas of expertise; I would rather focus on those fields I know perfectly well.

Beyond the handling of words, I endeavour to make the entire translation process as quick, smooth, and seamlessas possible.

Do your needs require translation into a language other than French, or from languages other than English or Spanish? I won’t subcontract your project or risk producing a substandard translation myself: allow me to refer you to one of the translators in my network of native-language speakers, or to the Société française des traducteurs (SFT), of which I am a member. Find out more.

I always ask for clarification should a portion of the original text be unclear, vague, or incoherent. Likewise, I will not hesitate to alert you to errors I may find in the original text (it does happen!). Before starting on any translation, I take the time to carefully peruse the source text.

In over 10 years of professional experience, I have never missed a deadline.

I have been a registered freelance professional translator in France since 2006, and I am a member of the Société Française des Traducteurs (SFT).
